Invisalign Treatment Process

At Dentique Dental, we start by evaluating you to determine the type and severity of crooked teeth. We recommend Invisalign for the correction of mild to moderate cases of midline diastema, open bites, gap teeth, underbites, crooked teeth, and overbites. For more severe orthodontic problems, metal braces may be recommended.

After a visual observation, our dentist will take your x-rays and digital impressions. The digital impressions are shared with the Invisalign lab, which fabricates custom aligners from a thermoplastic material. You’ll need to wait approximately four weeks to get your clear aligners.

Invisalign aligner trays come in a set; our dental team will instruct you on how to wear them.

Usually, patients switch to the next tray in the set every two weeks. For Invisalign treatment to work, you should keep your trays on for at least 22 hours every day.

Typically, Invisalign treatment lasts 12 to 18 months. However, many patients start to see results within weeks. During your treatment, our team will closely monitor your progress and provide any necessary professional support required during this time.

Invisalign vs. Traditional Braces

Invisalign aligners are removable as you need, to eat and brush your teeth. They’re more attractive and require fewer trips to the dentist than metal braces. However, if you have severe bite problems, or may be too young to comply with Invisalign treatment guidelines, then metal braces may be more ideal.
